Changes to our service and books.

We've made some changes to streamline our operations and ensure that we can continue to operate as one of the leading providers of client log books for personal trainers.

Covers will not be laminated going forward.

We will no longer be printing covers in-house and have stopped laminating covers. Covers will now be printed by a separate printing company on commercial presses so there's less need for them to be laminated. The new covers have a satin / slight-glossy finish and are of similar thickness. The books will still be protected by frosted plastic sheets on the front and back. This change also means the covers will be recyclable.

If you have placed an order before or have recently got a sample and were planning on placing an order, you can get a free sample pack to see the new version before placing your order. If you have not ordered a sample before then please use this form instead.

Physical samples will no longer be customised.

We have always offered a custom free physical sample of our log book so you can see how the book will look fully printed with your branding. However, with the change to using an external printing company for covers we will no longer be able to provide customised physical samples. Instead our sample pack will include our sample book which is printed with our example cover and intro page. Along with your sample you will receive a code which you can use online to view a digital sample/proof of your customised cover prior to placing an order.

Changes to turnaround times.

Because the covers are printed externally, there are some changes to turnaround times. Orders of 5 - 30 units will now be dispatched within 2 weeks and orders of 40 - 50 units will be dispatched within 3 weeks.

Introduction of a 5 book option.

We know that for personal trainers just starting out, an order of 10 books is too many so we are trialing a 5 book option for £50. This is also a good option if you don't want to commit to a large order before seeing the book fully printed now that we're not offering branded samples.

Why are we making these changes.

There's a number of reasons including the increased cost of materials, maintenance and the time it takes to produce the books. A number of businesses in this area have closed down recently as the costs of producing stationery has gone through the roof over the past few years. We, as a very small business, made the decision to absorb the cost increases but it's come to the point where we make barely anything on orders. Rather than increase prices, we've decided to change the way we make the books.
